Methodology

How do artificial intelligences evaluate CAC 40 companies? What sources influence this AI Reputation? To find out, several thousand questions were administered through an automated system to five generative AI models: ChatGPT (4o), Gemini (2.5 Flash), Perplexity, Grok 4, and Copilot. Seven key dimensions of corporate reputation were assessed: Strategic vision, Products & services, Innovation, Employer brand, Financial performance, CSR, and Brand equity. These results were then consolidated to establish the CAC 40 AI Reputation barometer — the first large-scale measurement of how AIs evaluate major French companies.

L'Oréal, Airbus, and Michelin on the podium of the CAC 40 AI Reputation ranking.

With a highly balanced and consistent AI perception, L'Oréal tops the overall ranking. Airbus and Michelin round out the podium in a study that heavily favors industrial companies. Michelin stands out for its consistency: it is the only company ranked in the top 5 in more than 4 out of seven categories.
